The Youngman Group, the leading access equipment manufacturer in the UK, has
signed an exclusive distribution agreement with Staging Concepts, the Minneapolis,
US based producer of lightweight modular performance staging systems.
The Staging Concepts range is now available throughout Europe via the Youngman
Group’s newly established Events Division. Launched earlier this year, the Youngman
Events Division is dedicated to the needs of the events industry, including sporting
fixtures, outdoor concerts, exhibitions and product launches.
The new division is headed by Jason Carlton, who joined the company in October
2008 having previously run his own film and TV rigging company. Youngman now offer
its own range including an aluminium crowd control barrier system and unit beams
all of which have been designed using the company’s SolidWorks™ CAD software and
are built using the latest laser cutting and robotic welding technology.
“The Staging Concepts system is the perfect complement for our own range of products

system ideal for the end-user and specific venue applications.”
“One of the first things I did when I joined Youngman was to go out and visit

Concepts product range as the system they’d choose – it has the fastest assembly
and dismantling times, the smallest number of parts and is the easiest to assemble.
The system also has a complete range of accessories”.
Although Staging Concepts is well-known throughout the UK events industry, customers
had previously had to endure long delivery times from the US. Under the new distribution
deal, Youngman will stock the Staging Concepts range at its large warehousing
site at Maldon, Essex and using its extensive logistics experience will be able
to rapidly deliver right across Europe.
Staging Concepts manufactures a complete system of staging and seating risers
ranging from a small modular folding stage suitable for schools and village halls,
through to systems for use at major venues which has recently included the O2
Arena in London.
Available in a variety of sizes and finishes, the system comprises an innovative
support structure that minimises the amount of equipment required to build a stage
whilst maintaining a generous loading capacity of 5.98 kN/m2
“The agreement with Staging Concepts is part of our long term development strategy

house manufactured events product range and will enable Staging Concepts to capitalise
on the Youngman Events distribution and after-sales network”.
